Program Description

Learn basic pipe welding skills with this certificate program. The program focuses on extensive practice in the major arc welding process, along with out-of-position and multi-pass arc welding such as GMAW, SMAW and GTAW. Youll get experience working directly from blueprints and develop the welding skills necessary to perform SMAW pipe welding with E6010 and E7018 electrodes in all positions. Take a variety of classes in prints and schematics, welding, pre-pipe welding and basic pipe welding. All classes are taught by knowledgeable instructors who are highly skilled in the pipe welding field. Application Procedure

WIOA students need to contact the Harper College Workforce Coordinator at (847) 925-6782 or WIOA@harpercollege.edu. A separate book voucher is required for Follett Bookstore #1341 on campus. Books can be shipped if requested for a small fee. Each semester, all Cook County WIOA sending agency case managers must supply the Harper College Workforce Coordinator with a Semester Training Schedule Approval Form that lists the courses the client will be taking that semester, and this must match the client's Harper Educational Plan. The maximum tuition and fees for this occuaption is $8000.00
