Program Description
This 50-hour course prepares students for entry level employment in a kidney dialysis center. The course provides the theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills needed to perform clinical and technical duties. Course content includes medical terminology, anatomy,renal function and principles of renal dialysis. Additionally, students are provided with training to help prepare them for the Board of Nephrology Examiners Nursing and Technology (BONENT) exam.

Application Procedure
The student brings any sponsored documents that need to be completed to the PSC Academic and Career Development Advisor located in the Adult Training and Outreach Center. The documents are returned to the sponsoring agency (student) for issuance of the voucher. Once the voucher is received, the student registers in Enrollment services at the main campus. Next, they would take the voucher to the Business office (Main Campus) to have their account updated to reflect they are being sponsored.
There is also an option to do a 200 hour externship.
The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $5,000.
