Program Description

As Medical Technology and instrumentation hace advanced, so has the need for Medical Central Services Technicians. Hospitals or surgical centers need technicians to decontaminate, assemble, inspect and sterilize equipment used in surgical procedures. This course prepares participants for the national exam for central service for the Certification Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution (CBSPD).

Application Procedure

The student brings any sponsored documents that need to be completed to the PSC Academic and Career Development Advisor located in the Adult Training and Outreach Center. The documents are returned to the sponsoring agency (student) for issuance of the voucher. Once the voucher is received, the student registers in Enrollment services at the main campus. Next, they would take the voucher to the Business office (Main Campus) to have their account updated to reflect they are being sponsored. The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $8,000.
