Program Description

This program prepares students for dental hygiene. It combines courses in general education, basic science, dental science and clinical science with learning experiences in the Dental Hygiene Clinic. Graduates of the program are eligible to sit for the state and regional licensing examinations. Courses must be completed in sequence. Those who desire part-time college enrollment may enroll in the general education courses prior to applying to entry into the Dental Hygiene program.

Application Procedure

The student brings any sponsored documents that need to be completed to the PSC Academic and Career Development Advisor located in the Adult Training and Outreach Center. The documents are returned to the sponsoring agency (student) for issuance of the voucher. Once the voucher is received, the student registers in Enrollment services at the main campus. Next, they would take the voucher to the Business office (Main Campus) to have their account updated to reflect they are being sponsored. The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $8,000.

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Writing - Completion of ENG 099 or placement test of RDG 105
  • Prerequisites - BIOL 221 with a
  • Other - HESI-A2 Exam
