Program Description

This credit class offered through the Daley College Advanced Manufacturing Department provides students training in manufacturing technologies and skills including MIG Welding, TIG Welding, Laser Cutting, Precision Measurement, Computer Aided Drafting and Blueprint Reading. The classes are a combination of lecture, homework and hands on experience with machines similar to the type found in industry. There are 10 classes in this program and if students wish to continue they can progress on to an Associates in Applied Science in Welding Engineering Technology following this Advanced Certificate in Welding. Extensive hands on lab time allows students to have confidence in their skills when they interview with employers. All of the services and supports of Daley College are available to students including job fairs and company visits.
