Program Description

This non credit class offered through the Daley College Continuing Education Department provides students training in industrial preventative maintenance procedures, tools and techniques such as mechanical and electrical measurement, blueprint reading, torquing and conduit bending. Operators will learn OSHA Safety procedures, to read inspection instructions, clean machines, inspect machines and lubricate machines. The class is a combination of lecture, homework and hands on experience with machines similar to the type found in industry. Topics including OSHA Safety, Starrett Precision Measurement, Shop Math and Work Ethic will also be taught in this course. Extensive hands on lab time allows students to have confidence in their skills when they interview with employers.
