Program Description
This program provides the student with entry-level skills needed for occupations such as NDT technician, quality control technician, engineering technician, or other related occupations that test. This program provides certificate of completion from MVCC, but formal on-the-job training is required for industry certification by a qualified employer who offers formal testing. It is recommeded that applicants for this program have some background in industrial technology or manufacturing, as well as an interest in science (particularly physics) and investigation/problem solving. Some math aptitude is also suggested. Can go on to earn credentialing from the American Society for Nondestructive Testing.

Non-credit students can meet with a program manager to get information on programs available and then go directly to registration and register and pay for program. Some programs may have requirements such as background checks, CPR cards, physicals, drug testing, fingerprinting etc. These may be additional fees that are required prior to program start and may be an additional cost other than tuition and book fees.
The maximum tuition and fees amount for this occupation is $8,000.
