Program Description
Becoming successful in culinary arts takes leadership, people skills and the ability to manage and organize a kitchen. As a graduate of Moraine's Culinary Arts Management Program, you'll be able to oversee food service operations in hotels, health care facilities, cruise ships, catering companies and manufacturing operations. You'll gain expertise in menu planning, cost controls, marketing, nutrition, sanitation, and food preparation and production. Graduates of the Culinary Arts Management Associate in Applied Science (AAS) program may apply for the Certified Culinarian ® (CC ®) certificate immediately after graduation. Moraine Valley is the only community college in Cook County Illinois to earn accreditation from the American Culinary Federation Education Foundations Accrediting Commission.

Application Procedure
The standard Moraine Valley Community College application process applies. Students meet with an academic advisor to evaluate any transfer eligible credits and create an academic plan. Accuplacer testing may be required. Tuition charged is based on in-district rates. The maximum tuition and fees amount approved for this occupation is $3,000.
