Program Description
This course is designed to help build students skills in operating a computer, learn basic skills related to data entry such as basics of Microsoft Office program, typing skills, on-line searching skills, and workplace communication skills to support their success in the Office Technology program. That is, through enrolling in the Data Entry certificate program, students will be able to gain technology skills include learning how to use spreadsheet, presentation and word processing softwares which are all in demand skills that will help them stand out when they enter the workforce. The students will also be provided with an introduction to basic skills in administrative assistant duties such as preparing reports, and conducting research. Focusing on building these abilities and skills among our students will result in equipping them with skills needed to be a great asset to employers.
