Program Description
The Paralegal Studies Certificate of Achievement is available for those students who have earned a college degree. The certificate explores professional competencies in demand by employers and consists of 27 hours of legal specialty courses, legal research and writing, litigation and electives in specific areas such as family law, bankruptcy, corporations, and torts. The paralegal certificate is a post-degree certificate. A previous earned degree (AA, AS, BA or BS) is required to enroll in the certificate program. The paralegal program at Joliet Junior College is a non-ABA approved program.
