Graduates of this program have the competencies to work as nurse assistants in hospitals and long-term care facilities and for home health agencies. The program is approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and meets the requirements of the Nursing Home Reform Act of 1979. Students are eligible to take the State of Illinois Nurse Assistant/Nurse Aide Competency Examination after successful completion of this course.
