Program Description

This certificate program provides students with basic knowledge to diagnose and repair all auto­motive systems, both foreign and domestic. With an emphasis on diagnosing problems quickly and accurately, students learn to develop a comprehen­sive work plan or checklist based on customer complaints and preliminary diagnostics. State-of-the-art tools and diagnostic equipment are available to aid students in their skill development. Students pursuing this certificate should seriously consider completing the Associate in Applied Science degree. After successful completion of the certificate, the student should be eligible to take one or all eight of ASEs automotive certification exams.
