Program Description
The Department of Management prepares students for a life-time career in management. The departments philosophy is based on the premise that managers of business, government, and not-for-profit organizations face similar management problems and thus need the same core of management knowledge and skills to be effective. The management curriculum is designed to develop critical conceptual and interpersonal skills for sucessful managerial performance in business, government, and nonprofit organizations. In addition to acquiring a theoretical foundation, the curriculum provides students an opportunity to integrate and apply these concepts in a variety of situations.
