Program Description
This program will qualify students to perform clerical duties and assist in the clinical situations normally associated with medical offices, clinics, and other health-related settings. On the clerical side, this includes scheduling appointments, preparing and maintaining patient records, arranging hospital admissions, typing reports, processing health insurance forms, ordering supplies, and keeping financial records. On the clinical side, a medical assistant may prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, assist with first aid, and collect and process specimens. This program will give students the training and education they need for entry-level jobs in the medical assisting profession.
