Determine what to Assess
An assessment is a process to assist the customers in identifying :
- strengths
- employability and transferable skills
- interests
- work values
- personal priorities for employment
Assessment is part of the process leading to self-awareness and relies on the active participation of the customer. As part of this process, it is important for the customer to understand purpose and expected outcome of the assessment.
Before the assessment, explain the:

Expectations: What do they have to do? How long will it take?

Results: What do the results mean? How can I use the results?

- Assessment Options
- Self-Accessed Assessments - can be completed without staff guidance. Users may have already completed one of these assessments prior to being enrolled in a program.
- Staff Assisted Assessments - require assistance from an program staff person. Staff will initiate and direct use of these assessments..

Assessments Integrate with Customer Career Plans
Learn how these assessments integrate with a customer's Career Plan or the customer's My Dashboard. We recommend that each customer only have one account so that all assessment results are associated with the customer dashboard or career plan for easy access.
Use the results to provide feedback to help the customer gain and retain employment.
