Join us on June 17 for a panel discussion in honor of Juneteenth. Our panel of experts will discuss the history of Juneteenth, what the holiday means for Americans, and ways in which all communities can observe, reflect, and educate in commemoration.
Moderator: Kristen L. Pope, social media manager for Harvard Division of Continuing Education and award-winning broadcast journalist
Speaker: Shirley Greene, associate dean of students at Harvard DCE and head of the Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging committee at DCE
Panelists:
Dr. Gloria Ayee, lecturer in government at Harvard University and faculty associate with the Carr Center for Human Rights at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government
Dr. Sherri Ann Charleston, historian and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at Harvard University
James Herron, instructor of anthropology at Harvard Extension School and director of the Harvard Writing Project
Alexis Griffith-Waye, instructor for Harvard Professional Development Programs and Director of Employee Learning and Development at the Center for Workplace Development for Harvard University
