Money Smart Week: Debt Relief
Money Smart Week is a national public education program coordinated by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago that empowers people with the knowledge and skills to make better-informed personal financial decisions.
Financial products can be complex and confusing and the fear of sinking further can leave consumers paralyzed. Worse still, hastily made decisions fueled by stress and urgency can lead to disaster when people are desperate for relief. Regain control by attending this session, in which the National Foundation for Credit Counseling will:
- Bring clarity to the complex landscape of debt-related financial products
- Outline popular options to affordably repay debt
- Teach patience and informed decision-making when debt feels overwhelming
Leave this session with a renewed certainty of the steps involved in securing your financial future and action items to take with your employer.
