Highway Construction Careers Training Program (HCCTP) Orientation
The Highway Construction Careers Training Program increases the number of women and other under-represented populations working on IDOT highway construction projects. The training consists of an intensive 18-week or 14-week program to learn the skills necessary for acceptance into registered apprenticeships of the highway construction trades. It allows a career with high wage potential.
Requirements:
- Valid Illinois driver's license
- 18 years or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Pass a reading and math assessment test at the 7th-grade level
- Pass a drug test before acceptance and throughout the program
- Interest in working in the construction trades
