Celebrate National Apprenticeship Week at the second-annual Elgin Community College (ECC) Apprenticeship Expo! The Expo runs from 9:00am-12:00pm with employers, union trades, colleges, and resource tables. It is free and open to the public; registration is not needed.

Attendees can connect with representatives from traditional and nontraditional apprenticeship programs, as well as pre-apprenticeships, and have an opportunity to engage with union trades and employers.

The event brings together representatives from traditional apprenticeship programs, union trades, employers, and colleges offering non-traditional apprenticeship programs and pre-apprenticeship opportunities.

Those encouraged to attend are:

  • Individuals seeking apprenticeship opportunities.
  • Businesses interested in starting an apprenticeship at their company or learning more.
  • High school students exploring trades and other career and technical occupations.
  • General public to learn more about apprenticeships.

The 2024 Expo will focus on the growing presence of apprenticeships; the number of employers and individuals seeking apprentices has significantly increased over the past year.
