Innovation at Work: Building Bridge to ICAPS Pipelines for NRS 1-6 ELLs
Bridge & ICAPS classes should never exist simply because
there’s a general demand and a box to tick. Without intentional design and
strong employer partnerships, students risk falling into the abyss of applicant
pools, being qualified yet disconnected from real opportunities. This session
showcases how one program reimagines bridge classes as the first step in a
comprehensive pipeline that leads to ICAPS and ultimately to sustainable
employment. Through multimodal career training, personalized career navigation,
and dedicated success coach support, learners receive guidance at every stage
of their journey. A robust workforce development strategy ensures employers are
actively engaged from classroom to career, creating a model that meets students
where they are and equips them for long-term success.
