Youth Employment Program Orientation
Are you IN or OUT OF SCHOOL? Get paid while you learn!
The Illinois
Youth Investment Program (IYIP) formerly called CYEP is a multi-faceted
approach to youth employment that invests in the future of Illinois’ at-risk
transition-age youth (16-24).
The African American Christian Foundation is currently accepting applications for
this program to service youth through paid internships, or On the Job training
opportunities, for 13 weeks. Youth will work 20 to 40 hours a week at $15.00 an
hour with one of our employer partner locations.
Orientations are held every Tuesday at 10:00 am through Zoom.
Must be a youth between the ages of 18-24 and below income (automatic qualifier if SNAP or TANF).

- Positive life skills
- Leadership development
- Customer Service/Computer skills
- Financial Management
- Career preparation
- Job skills enhancement
- Intro to Entrepreneurship
You’ll love this employment program:
- Meet people
- Make friends
- Earn money with internships or apprenticeship opportunities
- Areas: Digital Manufacturing, Technology, Office Administration & Retail, Security Officer, Medical facilities, e.g., Housekeeping, Food service, Clerical, and more
- Permanent job placement after internship is available
