Purpose
To transmit revised policy and notify local workforce areas of the following: a) Replacement of the Occupational Employment Statistics (OES) coding structure with the Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) taxonomy; b) Provision of updated lists of occupations, including those that will qualify on or after April 2, 2004, for the “unlikely to return to prior industry or occupation” designation within the dislocated worker program; and c) Provision of an updated list of occupations, including those that will qualify as nontraditional. These will be used on or after April 2, 2004, to determine nontraditional occupations for males and females.
