​As a workforce and education partner, Illinois workNet wanted to ensure you had this information in case you are working with customers/participants that are in need of healthcare coverage.

Open enrollment for the Marketplace ends on January 31, 2016. Please note that enrollments or health insurance coverage changes made between January 16th and January 31st will take effect March 1, 2016.  Also, information regarding qualifying major life events for the special enrollment period is available at healthcare.gov. 

In addition, as tax season approaches, please note that anyone covered by a Marketplace plan in 2015 will receive Form 1095-A, Health Insurance Marketplace Statement in the mail. The form will come from the healthcare Marketplace not the IRS. Tax information pertaining to health care coverage is available at healthcare.gov.

Workforce and education partners working with customers and/or program participants who need access to health care are encouraged to be aware of these resources and assist participants as appropriate.
