    College Changes Everything Conference - 2016

    CCE Conference LogoThe CCE Conference is coming up this Thursday, July 21st starting at 8 AM. The focus for the sixth annual conference is Aligning Attainment with Employer Engagement and Economic Growth. The overall focus for the CCE Conference is on effective practices and showcasing resources available to help with increasing college access and college completion for students in support of the state’s Goal 2025 – to increase the proportion of adults in Illinois with high-quality degrees and credentials to 60% by the year 2025.

    Illinois workNet will be attending the Conference and providing a co-session with the Illinois Department of Employment Security.     Session 2D: Learn More, Earn More with Key Illinois Career Tools (Samuel Tinley Room)

    Greek philosopher Diogenes Laertius said “The foundation of every state is the education of its youth.” Are we educating our youth so they become thoughtful adults with meaningful careers that help sustain our economy? Learn how to help our youth navigate the career development arena and select current and future in-demand jobs using tools from the Illinois Career Information System and Illinois workNet. This session will focus on how youth can use job specific data to find in-demand careers and the steps they need to take NOW to prepare for college, career and successful employment.
