    Work-Based Training Roundtable - Chicago

    PEER-TO-PEER SHARING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE:

As we prepare to implement WIOA and align our efforts with the job-driven training strategies highlighted by DOL, DCEO has planned a peer-to-peer sharing and technical assistance Roundtable.  We are using the National Emergency Grants (NEG) as an opportunity to share proven models for work-based training and to brainstorm solutions as we identify challenges.  We will share leading practices, program models and useful tools for expanding employer engagement, increasing employer participation in work-based training and developing enhanced and accelerated work-based training.  Panels of employers and workforce professionals will share their experiences and suggestions.

Thank you in advance for your participation. We look forward to the exchange of ideas and strategies as we move to enhance and expand work-based training and accelerated training options.

    WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

Attendance is required for LWIAs and providers administering a DWT NEG grant or applying for a Job-Driven NEG grant.  Other providers are strongly encouraged to attend.  LWIA staff attending should include the NEG Coordinator and the Business Services Liaison/Rep along with your community college partners.
