​The 2020 Forum for Excellence will be held virtually this year on September 24 – 25.

Pre-conference workshops will take place on September 23 and will include Leading in Challenging Times: 8 Pillars of Effective Leadership, Postsecondary Perkins Administrator Cohort, and Adult Education Statewide Administrators' Meeting.

This session will cover the Employment 101 Career Planning tool. Employment 101 is primarily designed to be a self-guided tool that helps job seekers determine and set their career goals. We also have an instructor guide developed to accompany a classroom/workshop environment.

Geared toward job seekers of any age, this tool goes through the steps needed to create a career plan by integrating tools on Illinois workNet such as the Resume Builder, training program searches, budget worksheets, and more. Several new tools were built for a recent remodel and will be demonstrated during this presentation.
