    WIOA Summit 2021

    The Illinois WIOA Summit 2021 is hosted by the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, the Illinois Community College Board, the Illinois Department of Employment Security, the Illinois Department of Human Services, and other WIOA partners. The WIOA Summit capitalizes on the momentum of WIOA implementation activities, regional professional development workshops, and is designed to provide training and networking opportunities for WIOA partners. This Summit will provide high-level guidance on implementing service integration and innovative practices related to policy. This year the summit will be taking place virtually. 

     

    The theme for 2021 is Service Integration: Collaboration and Innovation. This year’s summit is designed to share innovation and collaboration efforts that have supported the system through the past year – the implementation of service integration is necessary for success.  

    When: 

    • April 27, 2021 8:00 am – 4:30 pm – Breakout Sessions 
    • April 28, 2021 8:00 am – 3:00 pm – Engaging Workshop Sessions

    • IWIB/LWIB Business Members 
    • Local Workforce Innovation Board Chairs and other LWIB Staff

    • Workforce Development (Title 1) Program Administrators/other Department Designated Staff 
    • Illinois Community College Board Adult Education Administrators (Title II) and other Department Designated Staff 
    • Department of Employment Security Managers (Title III) Department Designated Staff 
    • Department of Human Services Vocational Rehabilitation Managers (Title IV) Designated Staff

    • Subject: Introduction to workNet Front Line Training
    • Description: Participate in this interactive workshop to dive into free, online tools available on Illinois workNet that help individuals reach their career, training, and employment goals. We start by working through tools from an individual’s perspective, then switch hats for providers to gain a deeper knowledge of how online tools are utilized for guidance, communication, and program facilitation in a virtual environment. These online tools include modules such as: Assessments, Career Plan, Messages and Case Notes, Resume Builder, Worksite Placement, Outcomes, and Success Stories. Join us to learn more about each of these tools and how you can get started!
